1. The Dead are not praising God today.
“The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.” – Psalm 115:17; 6:5; 16:10; 30:9; 49:12,14-15; 89:48 Ecc 9:4-6,10
2. The Bible describes death as going to sleep.
“Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death” – Psalm 13:3; Job 7:21; Ps90:5; Dan12:2; Jn 11:11; 1Cor11:30; 1Cor15:51; 1The5:10; Job 14:12-14
3. All humans are still sleeping in their graves today.
“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.” – Acts 2:29
4. No human is in heaven except for one man, Jesus.
“And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” – John 3:13; Is 38:18
5. Those dead in Christ will rise first on the last day.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1Cor15:51-53; Rev20:4, 6; Ez37:1-14
6. The rest of the dead will rise second.
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” – Revelations 20:12; Matt10:15; 12:41-42; 13:47-50; 16:27; Jn5:28-29
